Going to buy some new stuff!
Hey, I've been skating for a while now and I only have two bad condition desks, I should buy something new, any advice? What have you used and have been happy about? I used AngelBoy deck and it was pretty good, but.. WAS. I also need some new shoes! Tell me what you use and like. And.. the last thing I want to buy is a High Speed VideoCamera! So I can record some badass slowmo tricks. Have you ever used one before? Any advice on video cameras?
SHOES
I got some Adidas campus hi vulcs and they are pretty good but they're kinda sweaty. Don't skate Vans. They no padding and kill your feet.

Currently, I have a Darkstar deck. Its good for basic tricks but I don't recommend it if you want to do more complex tricks. It'd probably snap! If you want a board that will last long Almost, Bird House and Mystery are good. If you want pop, I'd go with Plan B. It all depends if you're a heavy skater or light skater. ON SHOES: I like Fallens a lot. They have thick soles yet a good board feel. Never had a pro camera before. :( Good luck in your search!
what type of shoes do you like? cupsole or vulc, cupsole is harder with better shock resistance, and vulc has better board feel, and as for decks, some are stronger and heavier, others are lighter and weaker :)
For a board I recommend Girl or Real, they last quite a while, as well as having decent graphics.
Don't go for Mystery or Darkstar as they are some of the fastest-snapping boards in the market atm.
For shoes, go for whatever is comfortable! Experiment with mid/hi-tops or low-cut shoes and whether you like vulc (more feel) vs cupsole (more durability)
Good luck, you need good equipment to be safe & get better!
The decks that I have had are powell, zero, 2 elements, almost, alien workshop, and plan b. Im a very light wiegt skater so I dont have to worry about boards snapping so I just have to worry about the pop and wieght of the boards. My top favorites are zero, element, alien workshop, and plan b .
My zero was a jamie thomas life and death deck with mellow conave it was very light ( even though it was a 7.875) and had great pop that lasted about 7 months.
My favorit element was 7.5 with mellow concave and a darrel signiture don penalton art series it has just the standerd element wood no technology ( witch is way better than the feather light technology dont get a feather light) it was very light and had good long lasting pop.
My alien workshop rob dyrdek moonpop was a 7.5 with a mellow concave it had great pop witch lasted about 5 months.
My current setup is a plan b size 7.75 with medium concave its wieght is average and its pop was great at first but then it lost some but kept some but it still works fine i have had it for 5 months
As for shoes i like cupsole because they last longer than vulcanized ones and absorb more impact. But volconized shoes have a ton of grip so get what you like. I have had e's, adio, dekline, dvs, etnies, globe, and nike sb.
The most durable and my some of my favorites were etnies and nike sb they also had good grip and board feel to me.
The best way to get shoes and save money is get them cheap or at a good deal i suggest going to 6mp.com or ccs.com
For a camra all ive ever used was Flip Ulta witch has decent video quality, a cool snap shot feature that is great for taking a series of frames of pictures a second like what you see in skateboard magazines, its also portable, and cheap too but i dont know how good it wood be at super slow mottion
SORRY FOR ALL THE TALKING I JUST WANTED TO GIVE YOU AS MUCH INFO AS I COULD TO HELP YOU CHOSE THE BEST FITING THINGS FOR YOU GOOD LUCK FINDING WHAT BEST FITS YOU !
+1 respect given for this post
I like the blank decks from blankdecks.com. They are cheap, last as long as any other deck I have had, but I personally don't like the concave too much from the boards I've got. They're still pretty good though. Also, reliance decks are really good too, they have a perfect concave in my opinion, have great pop and last longer than any board I have had. And for shoes, I like the Fallen Chief Mids, they have pretty good board feel and impact support, but fall apart pretty easily. The Emerica Brian Herman shoes are good too. Once you break them in they are really comfortable, they have great grip, and are really durable. I don't really know much about the camera, I just use one my mom got for free with some rewards thing. Its called omni2 or something like that. If you wanna see the videos I take with it, the two latest videos on my youtube channel are taken with it.
