Hardflips?

I'm trying to learn hardflips. I can flip the board correctly if I shoot it out in front of me, but I can't stay over the board and do it. Any help would be appreciated.

Ok now this is very common when learning hardflips, i recently learnt how to stay above hardflips when i do them. What you need to do is practise doing the flip to the side and jumping backwards in a diagonal motion behind you. You must suck your knees up in the air as long as you can to let the board flip around. This video helped me learn them, pay attention to it and think about whats said in this video when your trying to land hardflips. REMEMBER JUMP BACKWARDS DIAGONALLY! Ok now this is very common when learning hardflips, i recently learnt how to stay above hardflips when i do them.
What you need to do is practise doing the flip to the side and jumping backwards in a diagonal motion behind you. You must suck your knees up in the air as long as you can to let the board flip around.

the problem i have with them, is a lot of the time, i shuvit, and cos i'm flicking, my front foot stops the shuv and just makes it flip loads :L
