+1 respect given for this post
+1 respect for being the first person in aaaaages to actually post a video asking for help rather than "I can't ollie good. help".
Congrats on your first ollie, the video is a bit blurry but from what I can see, the main thing you need to do to improve is get the front foot slide better. You want your front foot to slide all the way up to the part where the nose begins to go from flat to curving upwards. During the slide it will get almost stuck in there and push the board upwards.
When you get that, the next step will be bringing your back foot up to the height that your front foot is getting.
Also make sure the toes on your back foot are right in the middle of the tail, so all the downward force is straight down, and no force is lost to either direction.
Good luck and keep on skating. (Y)
hmm... I'd would say try:
1. jump higher
2. pop harder
3. pop at the edge of your deck
4. slide your foot a bit better
5. get a flow feeling, I know it sounds strange but a flowed ollie goes better than a hard-uncontrolled ollie
good luck
It may be harder stationary you should try it at a comfortable speed. and other colored grip tape than black isnt that sticky or grippy as black grip tape and for shoes try some vans :) but otherwise you got it off the ground thats hard for some people good job :)
False information Zero. Just because the griptape isn't black doesn't mean it's not as grippy. It's just preference on what colour you want your griptape to be. Also, the shoes don't matter much, I first learned how to ollie with Converse All-Stars. Later on I'd say the material of your shoes and the durability of them is what matters.

Follow what Switch said, the biggest "problem" you have atm is that you don't completely slide your front foot up which can lead to an unbalanced and unleveled out landing. It's scary; but if you can slide all the way up to the bolts, you can go a lot higher and land on both trucks instead of your back trucks
:D :D

Actually the grip does matter but im not goin to argue colored grip tape actually isnt that grippy as black because they have to add the actual colr to the top of the grip which makes it less grippy thats just my opinion i might be right i might be wrong but one thing i do know is that if you go to skateparks some people will make fun of you because well black is the most known color because we see pros skating black grip mob preferably and people will think you dont fit in i should say but i understand what your saying so yup :) (Y) (H)

that's just pure stereotypic bulls**t. dude, I had transparent griptape which was actually made for longboards. The grip tape lasted at least 8 months before it lost its grip.
and normal griptape would be to grippy for the most peeps so they throw sand on it or water jus tto make it less grippy. or just wear them out.
Collored griptape is indeed a bit less grippy, but that would mean it's grippy enough for the most trick. this has nothing to do with durability but in my opinion, colored grip(not transparent) is as good as normal griptape if you don't want a to grippy deck in the beginning (nobody wants that cause at that point, you won't do a normal kickfllip or any flip at all).
It doesn't matter if you're made fun of, don't care about other people's opinions, unless you actually do suck as a skater. If you do really suck, just take it as a constructive criticism and skate more to improve.
I'm pretty sure there's blue Mob grip or something, but because it's blue doesn't mean it has no grip, it would probably still have the trademark super grippiness of Mob.
