Fast: Any of the Bones bearings, the more expensive the better, but not in direct ratio to the price, e.g. Swiss Ceramics are better than Reds, but not 9 times better even though they cost about 9x more. Light: I personally don't think weight of the setup makes a lot of difference but if you're worried about it there are trucks with titanium, I know Theeve is doing them and I'm pretty sure Thunder and Tensor do as well. As for light decks there's heaps with non-wood materials in them to lighten them up. I believe 100% canadian maple feels the nicest to skate though.

If money isn't an issue, get whatever the deck you want. Most decks are pretty similar even with "new technologies" like P2 from flip or the Impact from Almost. I'd recommend what not to get from my own experience. I don't like Mystery, Flip, or Darkstar because of the bad quality and weakness of the board but I do like Chocolate/Girl/Real. Also if you want something cheap but definitely skateable, go for a blankdeck (blankdecks.com has good ones!) you can get them for $20 and customize them by yourself. Good luck ^^

I have found that enjoi boards are really light and easy to learn new tricks on. Problem is they break pretty easy. You can also check the deck reviews in the reviews part of the site. Try to find a deck that is what you are looking for. Having the board be fast has nothing to do with the deck. You may want to check the bearings section of the site in reviews too. That will also show up in the link i put for you.http://www.how2skate.com/reviews.htm

They are cheep for a reason.

Getting a new board is a messy thing to me. You have well made ones and sometimes you find a lemon. Even with the good companies. Baker is known for quality. Also I like Flip, and Alien Workshop. You might possibly find one for sale for 30-20 bucks. Tech boards could be to gimmicky so you might want to do extensive research because there are so many takes on it out there. Ask the skate shop pros what holds pop longer for them since they have a lot of experience and why they like it. Speed isn't in the board. Its in the bearings. Use your old trucks from your board and replace the bearings and wheels if you want speed. Since your new your old trucks should be in great shape still. Just clean them with alcohol and an old toothbrush and rag, and allow the alcohol to evaporate.
