regular converse are really really bad. but cons skateboarding is okay but not the best. also look what fits you and your needs for the shoe. dont just see if thay look good. if they dont feel right dont buy them

I skated some Cons for a year before they finally broke (as in the heel completely ripped off and so did the toecap) They were decent, pretty bad boardfeel but amazing durability. The Kenny Andersen pro model looks like Converse All-stars but is probably durable + has boardfeel so I'd go for that. good luck ^^

That is the thing about shoes. Its between feeling the board or great protection so you don't kill your feet. I have two types I use. My favorite are just the normal fabric chucks aka converse. I feel the board easily and I feel comfortable until I hit a rigid road or try tricks. So I use them for just pushing. But they don't last long because of the thinner sole. The other shoe are a pair of thick vans made for hard skating. But I cant feel the board and I hate it, but they protect my feet and take longer to wear down the sole or toe. Remember that is sandpaper your shuffling your feet on lol. I recommend a good mix between the two. Cons skateboarding shoes are great if you can find a middle-ground. DC is great on that and Fallen. If you want just feel then converse are great, but you will be patching them or replacing them a lot. Look for good stitching and a vulcanized bottom.
