Temporary griptape color

return to overview

1. First get some sidewalk chalk (The color shows up better if the chalk colors are dark).

2. Then color the whole tail with the chalk. Make sure the tail isn't just colored, but has a nice thick coat of chalk dust on it too.

3. Next get a broom and sweep that layer of chalk right up to the nose.(just keep sweeping the chalk up the board until the coat is nice and even)

4.Put the skateboard on a flat hard surface and repeatedly pop up the tail with your foot very light to get the left over chalk off the top, so you don't get as much chalk on the bottoms and sides of your shoes.

5. If you want, you can add different colored stripes over of the first layer with the same process.

P.s. this will not ruin your griptape and will only last for about 2 days.(have fun!)
