Snowskating

Winter can be an annoying time for skateboarders. Snowskating is a nice alternative to skating when it's snowing. It's not the real deal, but it's definately fun to try a few times!

You don't need a special snow skateboard, all you need is an old deck. You can use a brand new one, but it might soak up the snow and lose all its pop. So if you have an old deck lying around, use it. Make sure to remove the trucks, you only need the deck.

It's pretty difficult to pop without trucks, but you can do shove-its, 180 slides, powerslides, ...

If you find a hill or slope, it's nice to get some speed on it. Try to start running while holding the deck, then jump and slide the deck under your feet.

This way, you can also do slides on benches.

I tried making a snow quarterpipe, but the only way to get it firm enough is waiting for it to turn to ice (if the temperature allows it).

i tried this exept i had a friend go down a grass hill a few times to flatten the snow and then i went down it easy way to get a face full of snow

This is called snowskating actually. I recommend searching "Icon Snowskates", "Ambition Snowskates", or "Premier Snowskates". It's a great way to spend the winter months and you can do all the same tricks but with less difficulty!

last year were i live we got this sudden freak storm now in scotland we don't get that much snow so this year im gonna take my trucks find a big hill and see how well it works
