Arcade Fire

Arcade Fire is a Canadian indie rock band, which uses a wide range of instruments, often in conjunction, to create a really unique sound.

Use of background instruments such as accordians, pipe organs, violins etc really sets this kind of music out from the rest. With most bands I could list a couple that sound really similar, but Arcade Fire is quite a bit different to most bands. Maybe a tiny bit similar to Wolf Parade or Stars, but not really.

The band first gained success with their album Funeral in 2004, and gained recognition for particularly the songs Rebellion (Lies), and Tunnels. Their follow up album Neon Bible has also done well, although it has a rather darker feel to it.
