Ollie skateboard trick tip

The following trick tip will show you how to Ollie. Reading this trick tip is just the first step to learn the Ollie, but know that you'll need lots of practise to land it.

return to overview

This is the most important skatboarding trick. Practise it a lot untill you can pull it off real good! Whitout the ollie, you'll be a fucked up skater forever!

Ok, first try this trick without riding. When you've mastered it, you can use it for doing some gaps.

The picture below shows how you should place your feet to do the trick.

Quikly push the end of the tail with your back foot (= pop). Make sure your tail doesn't touch the ground. While pushing the tail, jump up real high. You board should come up with you.

When you reach the highest point, try to level out your board so it's horizontal. To do so, slide your front foot to the nose of the board. Make sure to stay above the board.

Now just slide your front foot back and stay on it untill you're back on the ground. When you land, bend your knees to absorb the inpact of the trick.

Once you've mastered this trick, you can really start skating!

for ollies my friend doesnt think about sliding his foot up, i can think about it or not im just saying cuz it helps him, he thinks about rolling his ankle so the side of his shoe touches the board then he just leans forward and somehow, after he pops, he gets the board to level out!

hope this helps

It helps to keep your toes off the edge of the board. Also, keep your front foot 2 in. from your bolts but, 1 in. when you first start to learn.

one of the most important this for a solid ollie is to maintain balance and stay centered over your board
