Primo slide skateboard trick tip

The following trick tip will show you how to Primo slide. Reading this trick tip is just the first step to learn the Primo slide, but know that you'll need lots of practise to land it.

return to overview

The primo slide is a cool freestyle trick. You slide on the side of your board.

To start, put your feet on the bolts. Ride at moderate speed on a smooth surface (wax it if necessary!).

Put pressure on your toes and jump a little bit. This will make the board flip a fourth of a heelflip.

Land it with your feet on the sides of the wheels.

Now just slide and keep your balance. The faster you go, the farther you'll go.

If you feel you can't hold it anymore or you're going to slow to slide, flip your board back. To do so, push your feet back. Land on the griptape and ride away with a big smile on your face.

Important: You can also slide on the other side of your board. Just do it like you would start a primo flip. But I suggest you just try it the way I said here, because most people find it more easy.
Variations: You can trick in and out a primo slide, like: Varial kickflip primo slide or: Primo slide 360 flip. Try to slide on a curb, because it wil make the trick even more spectacular!
