Indy trick tip
The name Indy comes from "Indy Air", a trick invented by Duane Peters.
The Indy is the basic grab trick and is usually done on vert ramps, but can also be done on street ramps or even without any ramps at all.

- 1
Approach the ramp in the ollie position.

Make sure to go fast enough to launch yourself over the coping.

- 2
Just before the top of the ramp, pop the board with your back foot.
Don't lean back.

- 3
Drag your front foot forward to level the board out.
This enables you to catch the middle of the board (toe side) with your back hand.

- 4
Let go of the board before you land.

- 5
Bend your knees when you land.

Tips

This guide can apply for halfpipe indies too. The feeling may be different, but it's basically the same trick.

The faster you go, the higher you can launch yourself in the air.
